This beautiful leather bound hardcover Bible with gilded pages has passed through four generations of family.

Binding is intact and in good condition although it does reflect it''s age. The book is complete with all pages which are free of folds and tearing.
Two metal clasps, both still functional and tight. Metal edging around the border of the cover front and back however not in the spine which shows signs of wear to the bottom and top as well as the spine itself. On the front and back cover there is some bumping and rubbing.

This lovely antique book has maintained its incredible beauty and luster for nearly a century and a half just as the stories contained within it have themselves stood the test of time.
Accompanying this treasure is a lovely 5 by 3 and 1/2 inch card with a painted cross and pressed flowers of Jerusalem''s garden of Gethsemane. The card itself is nearly as old as Bible pictured above.
